With FSR framegen, I can double my framerate for free, enabling me to kick settings up even higher and even take advantage of ray-tracing on my mid-range GPU. And Cyberpunk ended up being no exception. It's a real 'why not' situation because I've genuinely squeezed massive amounts of performance and fun out of other games that way. but why stop there? Why not check out the mod scene, see if I'd like to spice up my playthrough? Why not look up popular optimizations and tweaks while I'm at it, to squeeze more performance out of my game? Mid-range as fuck for 2024, but even without tweaking, I'll get comparable results to Series X and PS5 1440p with most games, and with DLSS / FSR on top, I can kick some settings even higher. ![]() So I said fuck it, and got myself a refund, and started playing on my PC. ![]() Its a real Baldur's Gate 3 situation, except it's affecting fewer people, and so CDPR has seen fit to not even acknowledge it. Rarely, you might even lose all your saves. That being said, much of my gaming is on my S, and Cyberpunk has a save issue there. ![]() I'd really been enjoying it, and I thought the game looked and ran great on both X and S, given their hardware level.
